This Saturday, March 16th Portland's Distillery Row will host their monthly Cocktail Crawl featuring the Irish Coffee.
This month's Crawl will be the perfect Saturday preamble to St. Patrick's Day festivities. The Cocktail Crawl is a great opportunity to come out and experience the tasting rooms of Portland's Distillery Row. It gives distillers the chance to showcase their products, and lets visitors experience these products within the context of a common cocktail.
The Cocktail Crawl is also community event, centered around bringing together the commonwealth of craft distillers in Portland. Each month, Distillery Row uses the event to support local non-profits that do work around our city.
This month, Distillery Row's Cocktail Crawl will be supporting My Voice Music, an organization that focusses on utilizing music as a means of helping underprivileged youth express themselves, develop social skills and stay mentally healthy.
Founded in 2008, My Voice Music does a lot more than just offer music camps. The organization, founded by musician, Ian Mouser to provide a creative outlet for foster youth, has just announced their provision of sliding-scale individual and family therapy program.
Program Director, Trent Finley, is looking forward to the their annual fundraiser concert, "Jams for Camps" on May 31st. The proceeds of this concert featuring students performing alongside working musicians go on to fund summer camps for youth.
